Strengthening Community-Based Initiatives
Purpose of the Project:
The development of a device that seeks to make the ICRC’s investment of resources more efficient, provide concrete tools to organizations, and accompany the formation and implementation of their initiatives.
Grassroots organizations are limited in the implementation of their initiatives. Deficits were detected in management tools (communication, management models, advocacy, in addition to others) and the initiatives are not completed in the planned period. In response to the problems raised, a device was developed that seeks to make the ICRC’s investment of resources more efficient, provide concrete tools to organizations, and accompany the formation and implementation of their initiatives.
In stage I of the project, a participatory diagnosis process was carried out in which the main actors were interviewed and a report prepared with the status of the situation and recommendations on the investment of resources.
The goal is to make the ICRC's resource allocation more efficient for the grassroots organizations with which it works.
In this first stage, a characterization of the situation was carried out through interviews and a participatory workshop.
8 interviews and a participatory workshop were carried out.
